Use your own mail server to send invoices & estimates

A new email delivery option is now available in Elorus: You can configure your own SMTP mail server to send documents like invoices, estimates, and more directly to your clients.

Why use a custom mail server?

By entering your SMTP credentials, Elorus will route email messages through your own mail infrastructure, instead of using Elorus’s default email service. This gives you full control over the sender address, improves deliverability with your domain, and enhances brand consistency across client communications.

Key Details

  • This applies to all emails sent via Elorus, including invoices, estimates, receipts, and client statements.
  • Emails sent via Reminders will continue to use the Elorus email service.
  • Elorus still logs all sent messages and tracks their status (e.g. sent, failed).
  • When using your own SMTP server, Elorus can’t track final delivery status (e.g. opened or bounced), since we no longer control the delivery process.

Please note: This feature is available only in select plans.

To set up your SMTP server, head over to Settings > Application settings and follow the configuration instructions.
