We’ve just released a new update to the POS payments workflow for Greek organizations, to help businesses comply with regulations and offer a better customer experience.

Support for IRIS instant payments

In addition to traditional card payments, you may now accept IRIS instant payments directly from your POS terminal. A new option allows you to choose between:

• Debit/Credit card, or
• IRIS instant payment

This addition is in line with the latest Greek legislation (Α1162/2025) and allows businesses to offer faster, secure, and fully compliant digital payment options.

Optional tips during POS transactions

You can now add a tip amount when accepting a POS payment. The tip is treated separately from the invoice or receipt total, meaning:

• The document total remains unchanged.
• The paid amount increases, with the tip being reported separately to myDATA.

This ensures full compliance with Greek tax regulations while giving your customers the flexibility to leave gratuities.

We’ve enhanced the way product and service prices are handled in Elorus when working with foreign currencies. From now on, Elorus automatically adjusts item prices on invoice lines based on the invoice’s currency code and exchange rate.

Whether you’re invoicing through the app or via the public API, the correct price will be applied in the invoice’s currency, helping you maintain consistency and accuracy across borders.

For API users:

If your integration does not explicitly set prices when creating invoice lines, the new logic will apply by default. This update improves currency handling, but we recommend reviewing your integration for compatibility, as this may be a breaking change.

To help your organization stay compliant with the latest IAPR directives, we’ve introduced two key updates for businesses operating in Greece:

• When an invoice is paid via a POS device, the printable PDF will now display the POS transaction ID and the e-invoicing provider’s signature. This update applies to all template layouts.

• For invoices issued via the IMPACT e-invoicing provider, the exact issue time returned by the provider will now be shown on the PDF. This behavior already existed for documents issued via Elorus Fuse.

We’ve rolled out two useful updates for organizations based in Greece:

• You can now assign a VAT exemption category directly on a product or service. If the product has 0% VAT, this exemption category will be used on invoice lines—overriding the organization’s default.

• On the invoice and credit note list pages, we’ve added new filters to help you manage your documents more efficiently. You can now filter records by:

  • myDATA document type
  • Transmission failure status

To strengthen platform stability and prevent misuse, we’ve introduced a default limit of 10 organizations per Elorus user account.

If you reach this limit, a warning message will appear. Rest assured, this measure is not intended to restrict legitimate users; just contact our support team, and we’ll be happy to increase the limit for your account.

This update helps us maintain a secure and reliable environment for everyone using Elorus.

Building on our previous support for flexible tax handling, we’re extending the functionality of withholding taxes.

Up until now, users could manually set a withholding tax amount only if the tax was defined as a “dynamic value”. With this update, you can now override the amount of any withholding tax, even those based on a fixed percentage.

This enhancement gives you the freedom to:

• Manually adjust withholding amounts to match external calculations.
• Handle rounding differences or special cases dictated by client agreements or local regulations.
• Ensure your invoices reflect exact values, even in complex tax scenarios.

This update is available immediately in the Elorus interface—no setup required.

We’ve added a new option for managing your organization branches: You can now archive branches that are no longer in active use.

Archiving helps you maintain a clean and focused view of your current setup—without deleting past records.

Archived branches will:

• Be removed from selection menus and reports by default.
• Preserve all associated data—invoices, payments, expenses, and more remain intact and fully accessible.
• Remain available for reactivation at any time, should you need to bring them back into use.

This new capability builds on our initial support for multiple branches and gives you greater flexibility to adapt your Elorus account as your business evolves.

We’re proud to announce that Elorus now integrates with Elorus Fuse, our newly certified e-invoicing provider service!

As an officially recognized Υ.ΠΑ.Η.Ε.Σ. (Electronic Invoicing Service Provider) by the IAPR, Elorus Fuse allows businesses in Greece to issue fully compliant electronic invoices directly through their Elorus account.

How it works

• Invoices and receipts issued through Elorus are now digitally signed by Elorus Fuse.
• Documents are automatically transmitted to myDATA in real-time.
• You can also send the signed documents to clients via email, just like before.

There’s no need for additional hardware or technical setup. Everything happens within the familiar Elorus interface—quickly, reliably, and in full compliance with Greek tax regulations.

We’re excited to announce a major enhancement to our Developer API: You can now upload, retrieve, and delete attachments via the API.

Until now, managing attachments was only possible through the Elorus web interface. With this update, your application can interact directly with files associated with:

• Invoices
• Contacts
• Projects
• Bills
• and more!

This update makes it easier to manage files programmatically and can be especially useful when integrating Elorus with third-party systems.

You’ll find the new attachment endpoints in our Developer API documentation.

We’ve introduced a new capability for businesses using POS devices in Elorus: Preloading transactions for later execution.

Until now, transactions were executed immediately upon issuing a receipt. With this update, Elorus allows you to preload a payment on the POS device—deferring execution until the right moment.

A practical example

Let’s say your store receives an order and issues a receipt. Instead of charging the customer right away, you can preload the transaction on the POS. Then, when your employee delivers the order or the customer picks it up, they simply complete the payment using the client’s card on the preloaded transaction.

Preloading is supported on all POS devices integrated with Elorus. For more details on how to enable and use this feature, visit our Help Center or contact our support team.

To help you better organize your Elorus workspace, we’ve added the ability to archive document numbering sequences that are no longer in use. Archiving a sequence removes it from selection menus while preserving your data for future reference. This update makes it easier to manage long lists and maintain a clean, efficient setup.

We’ve refreshed the theme used when exporting reports as PDF files. The updated design features a cleaner, neutral layout, making it a better fit across different brands. We’ve also reduced font sizes and optimized spacing, so your reports take up less space on paper—ideal for both presentation and printing efficiency.

Following the release of myDATA version 1.0.11, Greek authorities have enabled the cancellation of delivery notes (document type 9.3) even when they were initially submitted via an e-invoicing provider.

Up until now, only delivery notes sent directly through Elorus could be voided. Starting today, you can also cancel delivery notes submitted through an e-invoicing provider—directly from within your Elorus account.

Please note: Invoices and credit notes that act as delivery notes are still not cancellable when submitted via a provider.

The new cancellation functionality is now available in your Elorus environment.

We’re introducing the all-new Product Stock report in Elorus — a useful tool designed to help you monitor your inventory.

This new report provides a snapshot of your product stock levels at any specific date, showing:

• The available quantity of each product,
• The average unit purchase value, and
• The total product stock value, calculated using the average cost method.

This feature is especially useful for businesses that need to track inventory valuations over time or prepare period-end financial reports based on the average cost method.

We’ve just rolled out a powerful update for organizations based in Greece, aimed at streamlining your compliance with IAPR’s myDATA platform:

Submit expense classifications to myDATA

You can now submit expense classifications for documents that:

• Have been submitted to myDATA by the counterpart, or
• Were issued through an electronic invoicing provider.

This can be done directly from the view page of each myDATA-linked document.

Important note: Make sure the stored myDATA credentials in your Elorus account have the proper permissions (typically accountant credentials) for the classifications to be successfully submitted.

Reject invoices submitted by the counterpart

Elorus also introduces the ability to reject counterpart-submitted invoices. This option is also available via the myDATA document view page.

Both features give you more control over how third-party submissions affect your books—helping you stay compliant and organized with minimal effort.

With this latest update, Elorus introduces support for organization branches, enabling companies with multiple locations or departments to better manage and analyze their financial data.

You can now define your company’s branches directly in Elorus and associate documents such as invoices, expenses, and payments received with a specific branch. This helps you maintain accurate records and gain branch-level insights across your sales and expense reports.

For organizations based in Greece, the branch information is automatically submitted to myDATA as the issuing branch, ensuring compliance with local tax reporting obligations.

This enhancement is especially valuable for businesses with distinct operational units or regional offices, giving you the clarity and control you need to evaluate performance across the board.

From now on, self-billed invoices can also serve as delivery notes, allowing you to record and display essential dispatch information directly on your invoice.

Here’s what you can achieve with this new feature:

• Include dispatch details such as shipment date, vehicle information, and delivery addresses on self-billed invoices.
• Maintain compliance by consolidating invoicing and delivery documentation into one legally accepted document.
• Simplify record-keeping with fewer documents to track and store.

This upgrade is particularly useful for businesses involved in logistics, wholesale, and industries where goods need to be documented as dispatched alongside invoicing processes.

We’ve updated our integration with myDATA to support the latest v1.0.11 specifications. This update includes:

• Addition of a new move purpose for delivery notes: “20 - Express delivery”
• The move purpose “Edit - Assembly” has been renamed to “Edit - Assembly - Disassembly”
• The move purpose “Between Entity Branches” has been renamed to “Intra-transfer (Between Entity Branches)"
• The move purposes “Keeping”, “Return from Storage”, “Recycling”, and “Destruction of Useless Material” have been deprecated, as they are now covered by the “Edit - Assembly - Disassembly” and “Intra-transfer” purposes
• For intra-transfer documents, Elorus will now submit the organization’s VAT number as the counterparty’s VAT number (issuer and counterparty VAT numbers will match)
• “Stamp duty” taxes have been renamed to “Digital transaction fees”
• Elorus now displays a link to the IAPR website (ERP QR URL) for verifying invoices issued via a certified e-invoicing provider. This information is available on the corresponding myDATA document page, where applicable
• Added support for the new special invoice category “13 - Correlation Difficulty for pre-filling Φ2 and E3”, as well as the new transmission failure option “4 - Entities of case c’, par. 1, article 5 of Decision 1138/2020”, when importing documents from myDATA

We’re pleased to announce that Delivery notes are now accessible through the Elorus Developer API v1.2.

With this addition, developers can integrate delivery document management into their own systems and workflows. The API now allows you to:

• Create and manage dispatch, return, and internal transfer documents.
• Retrieve details of existing delivery notes for reporting or integration purposes.

For implementation details, check out our updated API documentation.

You can now assign tracking categories to projects, just like you already do for sales, expenses, payments, inventory items, and contacts.

This update allows you to organize projects using your own custom categories and analyze them more effectively through Elorus reports.

Elorus now supports two additional fields for B2G invoices in Greece: Buyer reference (BT-10) and Purchase order reference (BT-13).

Both fields are optional and typically completed based on instructions from the Contracting Authority.

We’ve enhanced our POS device integration to support an additional payment workflow for businesses based in Greece.

Previously, you could only collect payments via POS either at the time of invoice issuance, or by creating a POS payment (myDATA document type 8.4) that acts as a prepayment and can optionally be associated with one or more invoices.

With this update, Elorus now allows you to initiate a POS transaction for an invoice that has already been issued, enabling a more practical approach to collecting outstanding payments.

If the POS payment is successful, Elorus will automatically:

• Submit the transaction to the electronic invoicing provider, and
• Update the invoice’s payment status on the myDATA platform.

This new workflow differs from creating a separate 8.4 document in that it directly updates the payment status of an existing invoice on myDATA, rather than generating a loosely linked “POS payment receipt.”

A small but useful improvement has been added to Elorus: you can now export PDF receipts for client refunds (i.e., payments sent).

This update helps you share proof of refund with your clients when needed.

We’ve added a new “Month” grouping option to all relevant reports in Elorus. This lets you easily view monthly subtotals for your sales, expenses, and other key figures—just a small change to make your reporting a bit more insightful.

Managing team productivity just got easier in Elorus. You can now assign users to teams, creating a clear structure for your organization and simplifying time tracking at scale.

Once users are assigned to teams, project managers gain visibility into all tracked time across their team members—no need to filter by individual users.

This new functionality allows you to:

• Group users based on departments, roles, or custom criteria,
• Automatically link tracked time entries to each user’s assigned team,
• Manually assign tracked time entries to a specific team,
• View time tracking reports by team, making performance and billing insights more accessible than ever.

If your organization runs multiple projects across different teams, this update brings much-needed clarity to time and productivity reporting.

Note: Team-based reporting access is role-sensitive and follows the permissions already set in your organization.

We’ve made an improvement to how discounts are handled and displayed on invoices, credit notes, and similar documents in Elorus.

What’s changed:

• Discount mode is now preserved: Previously, all item discounts were stored as absolute amounts, even when users chose to apply them as percentages. This led to minor discrepancies in the displayed percentage on the PDF and caused the invoice form to always default to absolute mode when editing.

  Elorus now stores the discount exactly as entered, whether it’s a percentage or an amount. This ensures accuracy, and a more predictable editing experience.

• New invoice template option: A new setting on invoice templates lets you display discounts based on how they were originally entered:

  • If a line has a percentage discount, the PDF will show the percentage.
  • If it has an absolute discount, it will show the amount.

Keeping your workflow efficient is at the heart of every update we deliver. With that in mind, Elorus now offers Report Presets, an easy way to manage and reuse reports.

From now on, you can save customized versions of your reports, so you don’t have to set them up from scratch each time. Whether you frequently check on sales trends, track client payments, or review quarterly expenses, presets will help you get there faster.

Each preset stores:

• The reporting period (including both relative dates like “last month” and absolute dates),
• Any filters you’ve applied,
• Your preferred columns and layout,
• Group by and sorting options.

You can create unlimited presets and access them anytime with just a click.

Note: Report presets are available to users on paid subscription plans.

To make the most out of this feature, we recommend using relative date ranges. This way, your presets will stay relevant and up-to-date automatically, no matter when you run them.

We’ve enhanced the Delivery Notes feature in Elorus to better support your logistics and compliance workflows.

You can now specify related entities involved in the transport process, such as the transporter or the recipient on behalf of the seller. These details are clearly displayed on the delivery note PDF, making your documents more informative and professional.

For businesses based in Greece, these transport-related entities are also submitted to myDATA, ensuring full compliance with the latest AADE requirements.

To help your business stay fully compliant with Greek myDATA regulations, Elorus now supports two new document types: 8.4 POS payment receipt and 8.5 POS refund receipt.

These are especially useful in scenarios where:

• A payment is made in advance of the corresponding invoice,
• A single POS transaction covers multiple issued invoices, consolidating the payment.

In Elorus, these document types are implemented as follows:

• 8.4 is treated as a cash receipt,
• 8.5 is handled as a cash payment.

We’ve updated the POS payment functionality in Elorus for organizations based in Greece.

Users can now initiate a client refund via POS and issue the corresponding credit note, even if the refund isn’t linked to a previous POS transaction.

This enhancement enables you to:

• Issue myDATA documents of type 5.2, in compliance with Greek tax regulations.
• Refund clients directly to their card, without requiring a prior matching payment.

Whether you’re processing standalone refunds or adjusting amounts, this update provides greater flexibility in managing client refunds.

Earlier this year, we introduced support for Supplemental Invoices, aligned with the latest myDATA guidelines. These documents allow businesses to update previously issued invoices without cancelling the original.

We’re now extending this functionality to cover self-billed supplemental purchase invoices. Elorus users can issue these documents and submit them to myDATA under document types 1.6 and 2.4, supporting self-pricing scenarios where a business defines the value of goods or services received.

We’re excited to introduce a new smart automation feature to make expense recording even faster and more intuitive.

From now on, when you upload a file or image to create a new expense, Elorus will automatically identify whether it’s a receipt. If so, it will extract key data—such as the amount, supplier name, and issue date—and pre-fill the expense form for you.

This new capability is designed to save you time and reduce manual entry errors, especially when processing a large number of receipts. Simply upload the image, confirm the extracted information, and you’re done!

Currently, this feature supports receipts issued in Greece, but we’re already working on expanding support to other countries in the near future. Stay tuned for updates!

We’ve added a new field to inventory items: the TARIC code (Tarif Intégré de la Communauté), used in customs declarations across the EU.

You can now record TARIC codes directly on your products or services. These codes will automatically appear on delivery notes and invoices that also serve as delivery notes, making it easier to comply with cross-border trade requirements and streamline documentation for customs.

We’ve added a new option that gives you more control over how your delivery notes are submitted to myDATA.

Previously, if you had activated the integration with a certified eInvoicing provider, all delivery notes were automatically submitted via the provider.

Now, you can override this behavior. From the integration settings page, you may disable provider-based submission for delivery notes, allowing them to be submitted directly through Elorus instead.

Important note: This setting does not apply to invoices acting as delivery notes, which are always being submitted to myDATA through the same channel as your regular invoices.

We’ve just added a new invoice template to the Elorus library, and it’s all about balance and readability. Introducing “Fuse” — a sleek template that merges the minimalism of the Strict template with the structured layout elements of Professional and Modern. Whether you’re looking for visual clarity or stylistic refinement, Fuse offers a perfect middle ground for your client-facing documents.

But that’s not all! We’ve expanded the available font family list across all templates. You can now enhance the look and feel of your invoices using two professional-grade typefaces:

• PF Din Text Pro
• PF Din Text Comp Pro

These additions allow even more flexibility when aligning your invoice design with your brand identity.

We’re excited to introduce Add-ons, a new concept in Elorus that makes it easier to unlock and manage additional functionality tailored to your business needs.

Think of Add-ons as modular plugins you can enable at will—each bringing specialized features to your Elorus organization. To get started, simply visit the new “Add-ons” page under the Settings menu.

At launch, the following features—previously found under Application settings—are now available as individual add-ons:

• Delivery Notes
• Recurring Payments Received
• Cheques

And this is just the beginning. Stay tuned, as more add-ons are on the way, giving you greater flexibility and control over how Elorus works for you.

We’re introducing a new option to support intra-transfer documentation through Elorus delivery notes — particularly helpful for businesses operating in Greece.

When creating a delivery note, you can now check the “Internal delivery note” option to indicate that the transfer is internal. Once selected:

• You may leave the client fields blank.
• The products listed in the delivery note will not be deducted from your inventory stock.
• For organizations based in Greece, internal delivery notes are also submitted to myDATA, in accordance with the platform’s specifications.

This update offers a way to document internal product movements between your own locations, while ensuring compliance with local tax authorities.

We’ve refined the document creation process in Elorus to make your workflow more efficient.

Previously, when creating a new invoice, credit note, or estimate, you would select the document type (e.g. Invoice, Retail Receipt, Invoice for Services Rendered) within the form. With this update, Elorus now prompts you to choose the document type before you enter the form.

If your organization has multiple document types available for a given entity (like invoices or credit notes), a popup window will appear asking you to choose one. Your default type is pre-selected for convenience, so you can move ahead with minimal clicks.

This enhancement applies across several document entities:

• Invoices
• Estimates
• Credit Notes
• Bills
• Purchase Credit Notes
• Delivery Notes

By helping you make the right selection up front, this update reduces the chance of error and improves overall consistency in your records.

Following the release of the Sales by tracking category report, we’ve added two new reports to help you dive deeper into your financial data: Payments received by tracking category and Payments sent by tracking category.

These reports let you analyze incoming and outgoing payments based on the tracking categories you’ve set up in Elorus.

For example, if you’ve created a tracking category like “Payment Method” with options such as “Cash”, “Credit Card”, and “Bank Transfer”, these reports will show the total amounts received or sent through each method during a selected period.

As with other reports, clicking on a row takes you to the detailed list of payments linked to that category option.

These new reports give you even greater visibility into your cash flow, organized the way your business runs.

We’ve expanded our myDATA import feature. Elorus now automatically retrieves updates to expense classifications and payment methods after an invoice is submitted.

• If an invoice is later classified as an expense, you’ll see the full expense classification history.
• If the payment method is updated (e.g., a POS payment is added), the payment method history will keep track of all changes.

Easily monitor all modifications for each MARK directly within Elorus!

A small but impactful improvement is here for organizations based in Greece who accept payments via POS devices.

Previously, if your organization had at least one POS device configured, the “POS payment” option would automatically be pre-selected when creating an invoice. In some cases, this led to accidental payment submissions to the POS device.

With this update, you can now set a default POS device for your invoices. If no default is selected, Elorus will instead default to “Other payment methods” in the invoice form—giving you more control over how payments are initiated.

We’ve added support for Supplemental invoices, in line with the latest myDATA specifications.

Supplemental invoices are used to update previously issued documents without canceling the original. Whether you need to adjust a price, or correct a tax value, Elorus now lets you issue a supplemental invoice that’s fully compliant with myDATA requirements.

You’ll find the option available when issuing new invoices, one you have created the appropriate document types within your Elorus account.

We’ve updated to the Elorus tax calculation system, to provide greater control and flexibility in managing taxes.

What’s new:

• Manual VAT Amount Specification. Users can now manually specify the VAT amount for taxes subject to VAT directly on invoices. This is especially useful for situations where VAT amounts from suppliers do not match expected calculations.
• Dynamic tax mode for simple taxes. The previously exclusive Dynamic tax mode for withholding taxes is now available for simple taxes. This mode allows users to enter tax amounts manually, without reliance on formulas or percentages.
• Line-Level dynamic withholding taxes. Dynamic withholding taxes can now be applied at the invoice line level.

We’re excited to announce a powerful new enhancement to our myDATA integration! Elorus now supports the classification of invoices after they have been submitted to myDATA, offering greater flexibility and control.

Here’s what’s new:

• Import income classifications: Elorus can now import income classifications submitted via other software, such as an accountant’s accounting system. You can view the latest classifications conveniently when reviewing the corresponding myDATA submission.
• Historical browsing: Access the full history of income classifications for any MARK, ensuring transparency and ease of audit.
• Update and submit: Elorus enables users to update income classifications for specific MARKs and submit them to myDATA. This feature is available for:
  • Invoices issued by your business and originally submitted to myDATA via an electronic invoicing provider.
  • Invoices issued by a counterparty (self-billing) that constitute income for your business.

These updates are designed to simplify compliance with Greek tax regulations and streamline your accounting processes.

We’re pleased to announce an expansion of the myDATA document types supported by Elorus! You can now create invoices for the following scenarios:

• 1.4: Sales Invoice / Sale on Behalf of Third Parties
• 11.5: Retail Sales Receipt on Behalf of Third Parties

These document types specifically denote sales performed on behalf of a third party, where the revenues do not constitute actual income for the business.

To ensure accurate reporting:

• These invoices are excluded from the “Revenue / Expenses detail” accounting report and the “Tax report”.
• However, they are included in all other reports within Elorus.

A new feature tailored for our users in Greece has been added to Elorus. The “VAT exempted 195” option is now available for invoice lines, corresponding to the myDATA “notVAT195” field. This aligns with the myDATA framework and ensures that VAT amounts for these lines are excluded from the periodic VAT return declaration (income).

To activate this functionality, simply navigate to the application settings page and enable the option: “Let me set the ‘VAT exempted 195’ option on invoice lines."

Once enabled, users can effortlessly denote specific invoice lines with this classification, ensuring compliance with Greek tax regulations.

We are excited to introduce the new Delivery Notes feature in Elorus! This update allows businesses to issue electronic delivery documents directly within the platform.

The new Delivery Notes section enables you to create, manage, and share dispatch notes, return notes, and internal transfer documents. Similar to sales documents, you can:

• Save delivery notes as PDFs or print them.
• Send them via email to recipients.
• Add attachments and internal notes for better record-keeping.

One-Click Invoicing:
Easily convert a delivery note into an invoice with a single click, automatically transferring all relevant details.

Important Note:
This feature may not apply to all businesses and is disabled by default. To enable it, visit the “Application settings” page and activate the Delivery Notes module.

For Greek Businesses:
Delivery notes are also automatically submitted to the myDATA platform, ensuring compliance with Greek tax regulations.

To facilitate the creation of B2G invoices, Elorus has added a new option in the “Application settings” page. Users can now configure the CPV code as an optional field for invoice lines. This update addresses scenarios where specifying a CPV code is unnecessary, enabling proper submission to PEPPOL.

If the CPV code is not optional for your invoices, we strongly recommend leaving this setting disabled. Making CPV optional applies to all B2G invoices, which could lead to submission errors if CPV codes are required.

Similar to the Expenses & Purchases by tracking category report, the all new Sales by tracking category report allows you to analyze your sales data by the tracking categories you’ve set up.

For example, if you’ve created a tracking category like “Sales by Region” with options such as “North”, “South”, and “West”, this report provides a clear breakdown of total sales for each region over a specified period.

As with other reports, you can click on any result row to navigate to the corresponding detailed report for a full list of transactions associated with the selected category option.

This is another step in our effort to deliver powerful tools for business insights—stay tuned for more updates!

A key enhancement to our B2G electronic invoicing functionality in Elorus is now available. Starting today, users in Greece can resubmit B2G invoices in cases of soft rejection by a contracting authority.

This update allows you to correct any errors in the rejected invoice and resubmit it to the PEPPOL network, without creating a credit note or a new invoice.

Elorus remains committed to simplifying your invoicing process through our integration with the certified IMPACT EINVOICING service, fully aligned with PEPPOL BIS 3.0 standards and Greek regulations.

Today we announce expanded compatibility with a wider range of POS devices for credit card transactions. In addition to Viva POS, Greek businesses can now integrate Mellon POS devices directly with Elorus, broadening options for seamless credit card payments on issued invoices. We’re introducing important updates to our POS payment integration, designed to give users more control and flexibility in handling payments and refunds:

• Improved Invoice Payment Workflow: When an invoice paid via POS is reverted to a draft due to issues with the electronic invoicing provider, the user now has the option to either refund the payment or correct the invoice and resubmit it. Previously, payments were automatically refunded, requiring a new payment after the invoice was fixed.

• POS Payments for Credit Notes: You can now process refunds through POS devices for credit notes. Once a refund is successful, a “Payment sent” record is created automatically in Elorus, and the credit note is marked as paid.

These updates ensure smoother payment handling and reduce unnecessary transaction steps.

Our two-factor authentication (2FA) feature has been updated! In addition to the existing support for authenticator apps, you can now choose to receive your one-time passcodes (OTP) via email.

To enable this feature, head over to the “Security” section under the account settings portal. You can access the account portal by clicking on your name at the top-right corner and selecting “User profile” from the dropdown.

The “Expenses & purchases by tracking category” report provides a comprehensive summary of all transactions associated with each tracking category option you’ve set up.

For instance, if you’ve created a tracking category like “Expenses by department” with options such as “R&D”, “Sales”, and “Marketing” this report will give you a clear overview of each department’s total expenses for a specified period. You can further explore the data by clicking on any result row to navigate to the “Expenses & Purchases Detailed” report, where a full list of transactions for that specific category option is displayed.

This is the first in a &&series of reports we’re developing** to offer more granular insights across various record types, from sales to inventory products, and beyond. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to expand this feature.

A new integration that enhances your invoicing process has been released: Elorus now supports payments through Viva POS devices! This feature is designed to enhance the payment experience for businesses operating in Greece, ensuring that your invoicing and payment procedures are both efficient and compliant with local regulations.

How It Works

To get started, simply install your Viva POS device as a “Payment Gateway” within Elorus. Once set up, whenever you issue a new invoice, you’ll have the option to accept payments directly through your POS device. Elorus will automatically send the invoice amount to the POS device and record the payment once it’s completed.

Moreover, to comply with Greek regulations, Elorus will submit the payment details to your certified electronic invoicing provider, ensuring that all necessary information is reported to the Greek authorities.

• Integration requirements: This integration applies exclusively to invoices issued via a certified electronic invoicing provider. Make sure you have enabled the Elorus integration with the IMPACT eInvoicing service.

Enhanced client payment reminders

Our client reminders feature now includes the option to specify the number of days that must pass since the last invoice was sent to a client before a payment reminder is issued. This added control helps ensure that reminders are sent at the appropriate time.

New design option for “Professional” invoicing template

A new design option for the “Professional” invoicing template is now available. Users can choose to render the items table with a white background, addressing printing issues some experienced with the default light gray background.

We are excited to introduce a new feature enhancement for our Greek users: comprehensive tracking for Business-to-Government (B2G) invoices via the Peppol network. Previously, Elorus supported the sending of B2G invoices. Now, you can also see the complete lifecycle of your invoices directly through the Elorus interface. 1. Send self-billed invoices via email directly from the API

You can now send self-billed invoices via email directly through the API. This new endpoint follows the same principles as the corresponding endpoints for invoices, estimates and credit notes.

2. Retrieve payment receipts as PDFs

For those who need to keep detailed records of payment receipts, we have added a new endpoint that allows you to export Payments received records to PDF format.

3. Associate credit notes with client invoices

Previously, users could only associate an invoice with credit notes of the same client to pay off an invoice. With our latest update, you can now perform this task starting from a credit note. This new endpoint enables you to associate the credit of a credit note to pay off one or more invoices of the same client, providing greater flexibility in managing client credits.

These updates are part of our ongoing efforts to improve the Elorus platform to meet your business needs. For detailed information on how to use these new endpoints, please refer to the Elorus API documentation.

We’ve added a couple of minor updates to reports and invoicing:

• The Payments received detail report and the Cashflow report now include a new column named “Number”. This column displays the number of the corresponding document for Payments received records that serve as both the payment transaction and the payment receipt.
• For our users in Greece, if an invoice is associated with a Climate Crisis Resilience Tax payment, the number of the associated payment receipt will now be displayed on the invoice PDF.

We are pleased to share the addition of the “VAT Discount Option” feature, now available for our Greek users as part of the myDATA integration.

You can now enable the VAT Discount Option in your application settings, found under the “Invoice, estimate & credit note settings” section. Once activated, a checkbox will appear on your invoicing forms and relevant income entries for each line item containing VAT. This checkbox allows you to easily select and submit the VAT discount option to myDATA for applicable transactions,.

Today we announce a few enhancements to the Team report in Elorus, designed to improve the readability and usefulness of the report.

Streamlined Data Visualization
To enhance clarity, we have optimized our charts by displaying only the top 10 results in each category. All other data are now grouped under a new “Others” category. This change addresses the issue of overcrowded information that previously made the data difficult to interpret and utilize effectively. Now, you’ll see the top 10 tasks, clients or projects and the time spent on them clearly displayed, along with a collective indicator for the remaining tasks, providing a more manageable overview.

Improved Layout
We’ve also restructured the layout of the Team report. The main blocks that previously appeared at the top of the page and showed the distribution of time across clients, projects, and tasks have been moved below the main graph. This adjustment allows for more vertical development of the list and facilitates easier reading without the need to scroll excessively within the chart as before.

We have now incorporated the “Fee for transient guests” into our myDATA supported tax types. This tax is a fiscal obligation imposed on hotel and other tourist businesses for accommodating visitors within a municipality’s administrative boundaries. This update applies only to companies based in Greece.

Elorus is pleased to announce an important update for our Greek users: the addition of a new invoice status, “Pending approval”. This update is designed to improve the submission process to myDATA and the IMPACT EINVOICING service, ensuring greater reliability and control. Here’s what this means for your invoicing operations:

• Temporary Invoice status: Invoices submitted to myDATA or IMPACT EINVOICING will now enter a “Pending approval” status if the external service takes too long to respond, a situation often referred to as a “timeout”. This status indicates that the invoice is in a temporary state awaiting confirmation.
• Locking of Invoice records: To maintain data integrity, invoices marked as “Pending approval” will be locked from further edits. This ensures that no changes can be made until the final status of the invoice is confirmed.
• Automated resubmission: Elorus will automatically attempt to resubmit the invoice periodically until a definitive response is received from the external services. This process is handled seamlessly behind the scenes, reducing the need for manual intervention.

This update is part of our ongoing effort to streamline your financial operations and enhance the overall user experience. We understand the importance of reliable invoice processing and are committed to providing solutions that support your business needs.

Greek organizations can now void transactions such as Rental Income, Contract Income, and Climate Crisis Resilience Tax payments that are subject to submission to myDATA. This update enables these transactions to be nullified while maintaining a complete and uninterrupted transaction history in Elorus.

This feature preserves the continuity of document numbering, preventing gaps that could complicate accounting processes and audits.

Voiding a Payment Received that was previously submitted to myDATA will also cancel the submission. Even after a transaction is voided, it remains accessible in Elorus for historical tracking and reporting, ensuring a comprehensive audit trail.

Today we announce an upgrade to the Time Entries report, now powered by our advanced reporting engine. This update introduces enhanced functionality and performance improvements, tailored to support organizations with extensive project and client management needs.

A handful of new features have also been added to the report:

• New Filter: Easily limit report results by project client, allowing for more targeted data analysis.

Elorus is fully updated and compliant with the latest changes in Greek legislation regarding the accommodation tax, now renamed as the “Climate Crisis Resilience Tax”. Reflecting our commitment to supporting accommodation businesses in adapting to regulatory changes, Elorus now enables the issuance of documents for the Climate Crisis Resilience Tax and their submission to myDATA.

Greater control and precision in tax calculations are now available in Elorus. “Payments Received” has always been a tool for tracking your income, from invoice payments to supplier refunds and other sources of revenue such as rental income. In addition to this, we understand that time is of the essence for our users. That’s why we’ve added the option for you to specify multiple email templates. These can then be quickly utilized to expedite the email process.

Our aim is to provide the most comprehensive invoicing solution to our users, and with that in mind, we have expanded our myDATA integration to include two new document types: “11.3 - Simplified Invoice” and “3.2 - Proof of Expenditure (denial of issuance by liable Issuer)”.

The “Simplified Invoice” can be used instead of a regular invoice for B2B transactions meeting specific criteria, like transactions under 100 euros where the buyer does not intend to resell the goods. The “Proof of Expenditure (denial of issuance by liable Issuer)” allows you to document and report instances where a supplier refused to issue an invoice for a commercial transaction.

With this update, Elorus enhances its comprehensive support for the diverse invoicing requirements of all Greek businesses. We’re committed to continual improvements that make your financial operations smoother and more efficient.

A new feature - Project Extra Fees - is now part of the Elorus platform. Your feedback has been the driving force behind this development, and we’re delighted to continue making Elorus an even more tailored tool for you.

The “Project Extra Fees” feature is designed to keep your project billing as accurate and efficient as possible. This function enables you to compile a list of potential additional charges that may occur during the course of a project. These extra fees can be swiftly and automatically added to the client’s next invoice, ensuring no additional costs are missed and making your financial transactions more straightforward.

This update is ready for you to explore today. We trust it will simplify your project management tasks, reducing the need for manual calculations and increasing transparency with your clients.

Just a month after introducing the ability to create multiple private notes for various records, Elorus is taking note-taking and collaboration to new heights with the introduction of list page functionality and mentions. Let’s delve into the details of these new features.

Previously, Elorus users had the ability to create private notes for records such as projects, invoices, and contacts. However, accessing these notes required navigating to the respective record’s overview page, adding an extra step in the process. Elorus recognized the need for a more efficient approach and has now introduced list page functionality. With this enhancement, users can now access and manage private notes directly from the corresponding list pages, eliminating the need to click into each individual record. This streamlined access saves users valuable time and enhances productivity by providing quick and convenient access to important information.

We’ve also gone a step further to enhance collaboration within the platform by introducing the mentions feature. With mentions, users can now tag and notify team members directly within the notes. By simply typing the ‘@’ symbol followed by a team member’s name, Elorus will automatically generate a notification for that person. This powerful feature enables seamless communication and collaboration, eliminating the need for external channels and fostering a centralized workspace.

We are excited to announce a significant update to the user interface of Elorus, aimed at improving the efficiency and user experience when creating invoices and credit notes. With this update, managing client information and making modifications to invoices has become easier and more intuitive than ever before.

Previously, when users wanted to modify client details on an invoice, they had to click a button to open a popup window, navigate through the interface, and then edit the required information. However, we have now revamped the process, providing users with a more streamlined approach. All client fields, such as client name, address, and more, are now directly accessible via the main add/edit form.

This update brings several benefits to Elorus users:

1. Faster Editing: With client information readily available on the main form, editing invoices and credit notes becomes a breeze. No longer do you need to navigate through multiple windows to modify client details.
2. Enhanced Visibility: The data you need is now directly visible on the main form, eliminating the need to switch between windows.
3. Improved Form Validation: In the previous setup, any form validation errors were displayed in the popup window, making it easy to overlook crucial details. However, with the updated UI, any possible form validation errors are now presented directly in the main form.

But that’s not all! We understand the importance of having quick access to relevant information while creating invoices. That’s why, in addition to the enhanced client fields, we have introduced immediate access to valuable contact information.

Whenever you select a new client in the invoice form, you will now have instant access to contact details such as outstanding amounts, contact private notes, currency codes, contact taxes, and more. This improvement is designed to empower you with all the necessary information at your fingertips, enabling you to work faster and more efficiently.

We have updated our Email templates feature to include the option for users to specify the email sender display name. This means you can now personalize the name that appears next to the email address when sending messages through Elorus.

In our continuous efforts to empower our users and foster seamless integration with third-party applications, we have extended the capabilities of our developer API. The existing feature that enables custom IDs and timestamp filtering has now been expanded to include our “Expenses” endpoints.

With this update, users can now set custom IDs for expense records, to implement their own unique identification system or integrate Elorus with other software solutions. We have also introduced timestamp filtering for expense records, to let users retrieve, sort, and filter expenses based on creation and modification timestamps.

The Reminders feature has always been a powerful tool within Elorus, enabling users to automate notifications for outstanding invoices, client due amounts that exceed a set threshold, pending payments to suppliers and more. These reminders, sent via email or through Slack, offer valuable assistance in managing and streamlining financial operations.

Our recent update allows users to exclude specific contacts from a reminder. This is a considerable upgrade that caters to the nuances of your business relationships and financial transactions. For instance, if you’ve set a reminder to trigger whenever a client owes more than 1000 USD, you can now customize this to exclude notifications for one or more specific clients.

The impetus for this update comes from you, our users. We listen and value your feedback, and it was your requests that brought this feature enhancement to life. Our goal is to create a product that truly serves your needs and makes your financial management as efficient and stress-free as possible.

In a recent update, we implemented the addition of self-billed invoices to Elorus. Self-billing is a convenient arrangement where the customer takes charge of preparing the supplier’s invoice and sends a copy to the supplier along with the payment.

Building upon this feature, today we unveil the second part of the update, which introduces support for self-billed credit notes. Self-billed credit notes are a specialized form of Supplier credits. They function similar to regular Supplier credits, but with added capabilities such as exporting them to a PDF format and sending them to suppliers via email. If you are already familiar with creating credit notes in Elorus, managing self-billed credit notes will be a breeze for you!

We have enhanced the invoicing templates with some additional options. Firstly, you have the ability to present the amounts in your local currency on the invoice PDF, if it was originally issued in a foreign currency. Furthermore, there is a new option to exclude the subtotals from the invoice summary table, displaying only the invoice total. We have also introduced a new column in the line item table that can show the total unit value of each item. Lastly, we have included the option to hide the “line net” column from the line item table on the invoice PDF.

We’ve just launched a new feature that we believe will help you stay organized and efficient in your invoicing with Elorus. You can now add multiple private notes to different types of records in the application, including contacts, projects, invoices, and more.

Collaboration has never been easier with the ability for anyone on the team with access to a record to leave a note. These notes are exclusively for internal use and cannot be seen by clients.

As part of this update, we have also reworked the attachments section. It now appears in a single UI element along with the respective notes, allowing you to easily manage all your notes and attachments in one place.

We have introduced a new functionality to our recurring invoices that enables automatic attachment of the invoice PDF to the email message when sending invoices generated by the recurring process to your clients. This option is turned off by default, but it can easily be enabled through the edit page of the recurring invoice.

Today we introduce a set of improvements that may seem small on their own, but taken together they represent a step forward in streamlining invoicing and financial management for our users.

First up, we’ve added the ability to search for invoices, credit notes, estimates, and other financial documents based on the Tax ID of the client.

In addition, we’ve made some improvements to our recurring invoices and expenses functionality. Now, users can filter their recurring invoices and expenses by status - whether they’re active, paused, or expired. This makes it easier to keep track of all your ongoing financial commitments and ensure that you’re never caught off-guard by unexpected expenses.

Another new feature is the ability to save line title and description placeholders whenever a project is invoiced. This means that Elorus will now remember your preferred formatting for each individual project, making invoicing faster and more streamlined than ever before.

Finally, we’ve made some improvements to the “Reminders” section of the app, adding a new variable that can be used in both the email subject and message to show the invoice’s payable amount.

All in all, we hope the above updates will help you in your quest for faster, easier, and more streamlined financial management.

We are excited to announce the addition of a new feature called “Email Templates” in our latest update. With this feature, users have the ability to customize the content and subject of email messages sent to their clients for invoices, estimates, bills, and client statements. Furthermore, users can now manage “Invoice templates” and “Email templates” separately via the settings menu, providing greater flexibility and customization options.

The time tracking browser extension has been enhanced to include support for our newly added two-step verification feature. Additionally, this updated version resolves a few integration issues with Jira and Asana, two of the most popular project management tools.

The settings page for document types has been updated to include convenient horizontal tabs that allow for easy navigation among different document types, such as invoices, estimates and more. Similarly, the tax settings page now displays separate lists for each tax type, such as VAT taxes, withholding taxes etc., for improved clarity and ease of use.

Our latest addition to the list of reports utilizing our new reporting engine is the “Expenses by category” report. This upgrade is designed with performance in mind, targeting organizations with a large volume of expenses and a substantial transaction history, making it easier to manage and analyze data.

Elorus now supports two-step verification, a process designed to protect users from unauthorized access to their accounts. Two-step verification provides additional security by requiring a verification code whenever you sign in to the application. This way, even if someone steals your password they won’t be able to log into Elorus.

To enable two-step verification you must first install an authenticator app such as Google authenticator or Authy on your mobile phone.

Elorus has always been committed to constantly updating our software with new features, and providing users with the best possible experience. After releasing the demo organizations feature last year, today we are happy to introduce a new, interactive quick setup guide.

This new tool is designed to help users properly setup their accounts, familiarize themselves with Elorus and discover the application features. It goes through the process of setting up a new organization step by step, while providing useful tips and hints along the way.

Elorus offers an email function that enables users to share invoices, credit notes, and other documents with clients via email. If a user sends a draft invoice, Elorus will automatically label the document as “issued” before sending the email.

Greek businesses previously needed to manually submit such invoices to myDATA after sending them via email. However, with the most recent update, Elorus will now upload the invoice to myDATA automatically upon email transmission. The user can also opt-out of the submission process if necessary.

The developer API v1.1 has been updated to enable easier data navigation. Results can now be ordered based on the created and modified timestamps of the corresponding records. Additionally, you are now able to filter results based on the exact time records were created or modified (e.g. Retrieve records that have been created before or after a specific time). As a result, you may now implement workflows to progressively update local data storages without re-fetching the entire data set.

Finally, we’ve added the ability to search records based on their custom_id, as well as filter document types based on their type.

You may now easily assign a set of sale taxes to multiple products / services, using the “Bulk assign sale taxes” action. In the same vein, companies based in Greece may specify a default myDATA income category for multiple products / services. Both features can be found in the Actions section of the Items page.

Elorus now supports custom file names for the PDF files created by the “Export” feature of invoices, credit notes etc. The file names are being controlled by the “Exported PDF filename format”" setting, found under the “Settings > Application Settings” page.

When creating invoices in foreign currencies, the exchange rate is key information to help the accounting departments of both the client and the issuer properly record the transaction in their books.

Our templating engine has been updated to let people show the exchange rate on the invoice PDF, thus reducing the possibility of accounting mistakes. This feature can be enabled or disabled on the corresponding template or directly on a particular invoice, credit note etc.

Based on popular demand, the Overview Dashboard has been updated to let users instantly shift to the corresponding detailed report of any index within the widget area.

Just click on the index, and you will be presented with the analysis of how the value is being calculated for the exact same dataset.

Our latest feature might not be of interest to everyone, but it’s cool anyway :)

We’ve implemented the ability to insert subtotals on any withholding tax, based on which subsequent taxes will be calculated.

Consider the simple scenario of a 100$ invoice, on which both a 20% and a 10% withholding tax must be applied. The amount of the first tax is 20$, the second is 10$, therefore the total amount payable is 70$ (100$ - 20$ - 10$).

But what if we need the second tax to be calculated after the first tax has been applied? In that case, the amount of the second tax should be (100$ - 20$) * 10% = 8$, resulting in a total payable amount of 72$.

The above requirement is rather uncommon, but still an absolute necessity for businesses operating in countries with complex taxation systems.

Historically, Elorus employed a set of tools to detect suspicious user activity, effectively deactivating accounts operated by bots. However, after receiving reports of legitimate users being erroneously deactivated, we’ve created a simple workflow to avoid such a situation in the future. From now on, whenever users are classified as potential bots, they’re prompted to solve a simple captcha test. Once a user passes the test, their account will be immediately reactivated.

Today we are releasing a few updates to improve the way you work with numbering sequences and help you achieve your goals faster. With this version, you are now able to create and rename numbering sequences directly via the invoice add page. Additionally, you may now specify a default numbering sequence for each document type.

Finally, numbering sequences no longer appear as a separate entity in the settings menu. They are being conveniently managed via the corresponding document type’s view page.

According to the Greek legislation, all accommodation facility visitors are obliged to pay a special overnight stay tax. The tax amount depends on the luxury of the facility and ranges from 0.5€ to 4€ per room, per day.

Elorus can now help your hotel or accommodation business manage the overnight stay tax payments and submit the required information to myDATA. The tax payments are treated as a special form of payments received and the corresponding receipts can be exported to a PDF.

Since this is a niche feature that applies only to accommodation service businesses operating in Greece, it’s not enabled by default. To learn more on how to activate and use this feature, please visit our help center.

After a long period of hard work, we’re excited to announce our latest feature: Self-billed invoices.

Self-billing is a commercial arrangement between a supplier and a customer in which the customer prepares the supplier’s invoice and forwards a copy to the supplier with the payment.

In Elorus, self-billed invoices comprise a special form of Bills. For the most part they act like regular Bills, but they can also be exported to a PDF, as well as be sent to suppliers via email. If you are familiar with creating invoices in Elorus, managing self-billed invoices will feel like a walk in the park!

Custom self-billed documents

Depending on the country you operate in, there apply different rules as to when a self-billed invoice should be issued and how it should be called. For example, most European countries require a Full VAT invoice when purchasing from established businesses, while a special Contract should be created if suppliers are private individuals.

Thanks to the concept of document types, Elorus lets you maintain multiple kinds of self-billed documents, that can be customized to suit your needs. However, self-billed documents will always act as business expenses and will denote an obligation to pay for goods delivered or services rendered.

Today we are releasing a few updates to improve the invoicing workflow and help you achieve your goals faster. With this version, you are now able to edit void invoices directly via the Edit button, and have them reverted to a draft.

Additionally, you may now edit an issued invoice, even if the “Strict sequential numbering” setting has been enabled. Please note, however, that you may not change the numbering of previously issued invoices while sequential numbering is into effect.

Finally, if your organization is based in Greece, you are now being prompted to submit an invoice to myDATA whenever it’s being reverted from void, back to the issued status.

If you invoice clients who are eligible for a VAT payment suspension (as defined in P.2869/1987 of the Greek law), you may now use a special indicator on the invoice. Enabling VAT payment suspension will result in VAT being included to the invoice nominal value, while being excluded from the actual payable amount. Elorus will also make the appropriate adjustments to your VAT reports, and will handle the submission to myDATA.

NOTE: To use this feature, you must first enable the VAT payment suspension indicator via the Application Settings page.

The developer API v1.1 has been updated to let you assign custom IDs to records you create via the API. This comes in handy when integrating Elorus with 3rd-party software, to help you map Elorus records with data stored in external systems.

A new field, named custom_id, has been added to all the invoices, credit notes, estimates, bills, contacts and inventory items (products) endpoints. As of today, this field is not available to the Elorus user interface and may only be set and retrieved via the API.

Starting today, once an invoice or credit note has been submitted to myDATA, you have the option to show the MARK & UID on the invoice PDF. If the submission ever gets cancelled, the cancel MARK will also be displayed.

To use this feature just edit your invoice template and enable the “Show myDATA info” option, found under the “Content” tab.

Starting today, you can create withholding taxes whose rates are dynamic. Whenever dynamic withholding taxes are applied on invoices, you will be prompted to set the tax amount yourself.

This is especially useful for taxes that cannot be calculated as a percentage of the invoice total. Such cases have been historically supported via the “Fixed amount” taxes feature. However, one should practically create a new tax for each tax amount, even if the tax was actually the same. Apart from the additional management effort, this process also yielded inaccurate results in the tax reports. If your business involves such taxes, using the all-new dynamic withholding tax rates can really fasten your workflow and solve the above problems.

Whenever an invoice is being submitted to myDATA, a unique submission ID (MARK) is being assigned to the invoice. According to the myDATA specifications, each subsequent submission will implicitly cancel all previous submissions, so that only the latest MARK is considered to be active.

However, in some occasions, the myDATA platform has reportedly failed to adhere to the above rule, resulting in duplicate invoice submissions. From now on, Elorus will let you cancel any invoice submission, even if it’s not the latest, in an effort to solve problems arising from the aforementioned behavior.

Last but not least, the cancel MARK (a unique ID that refers to the submission cancellation) is now being conveniently displayed on the invoice page, for your own reference. This applies to void invoices that were previously submitted to myDATA, as well as issued invoices whose latest submission has been explicitly canceled.

To cancel a submission, navigate to the “myDATA submission history” of the invoice in question, select the appropriate MARK and then click “Cancel submission” from the “Actions” menu to the right.

The “Purchases by supplier” report is the latest addition to the list of reports that have been reworked to use our new reporting engine. This is a performance-oriented upgrade, aiming to facilitate organizations with thousands of expenses and a heavy transaction history.

In order to ensure that a sequential numbering is followed when creating new invoices and credit notes, Elorus users may enable the “Force sequential numbering” setting. This feature will prevent new invoices from being assigned invalid numbers (e.g. missing number) and will also ensure that issue dates move forwards as invoice numbers increase.

Although this feature is nothing new to Elorus, you may now enable sequential numbering even if the numbering of existing invoices is not valid. As a result, you will rest assured that numbering mistakes will not happen again regardless the invoicing history.

In order to use this feature, navigate to Settings > Application settings, select the “Force sequential numbering” checkbox and save your changes.

Today we are excited to introduce a special form of company accounts, available to all of our users: the demo organizations.

Demo organizations are filled with sample data and can be used as a playground to familiarize yourself with the application without worrying about making mistakes. They can also help you discover features that you didn’t know existed and see for yourself the benefits of using Elorus at its full potential.

The sample data span a wide range of use cases, demonstrating the invoicing, expense management, time tracking and project management capabilities of Elorus. While working with demo organizations, you may create unlimited invoices and have unlimited clients and suppliers, as the subscription plan limits are not in effect. We’ve also included a couple of extra system users to help you experiment with productivity reports in the context of a team.

Please note that this feature is limited to a single demo organization per user and the demo data are being reset every month. However, you may delete and recreate your demo organization anytime you wish.

To create a demo organization open the “My organizations” dropdown menu (found at the left of the top bar), select “Manage organizations” to visit the organization management page and click “Create a demo organization”.

The “Sales by client” report is the latest addition to the list of reports that have been reworked to use our new reporting engine. This is a performance-oriented upgrade, aiming to facilitate organizations with thousands of invoices and a heavy transaction history.

The myDATA platform has recently moved forwards to version 1.0.5 and Elorus has now been updated to catch up with the latest changes. Most notably, the income classification types have been enhanced and the available classification category - type pairs have been updated. This feature applies only to Greek accounts having activated the myDATA integration.

While using Elorus, users may associate credit notes with sales invoices to denote the credit source on the resulting PDF. This correlation used to impose a few restrictions that have now been lifted:

• Credit notes may now be voided despite being associated with sales invoices
• The related invoices may now be reverted to draft, as long as the credit note is also a draft or has been voided
• The related invoices may now be voided, as long as the credit note has also been voided

Users of our integration with the Impact EINVOICING service may now monitor their invoicing credits via the Elorus subscription page. The page will always show the currently active package; If you have purchased multiple credit packages, the next will automatically show up once the current package has been depleted. This update applies to the greek version of Elorus.

Our chrome / firefox time tracking extension has been updated to let users log time manually. Apart from being able to start a timer in real time, you may now create complete time entries directly from the extension, just like when using the web application.

Other updates & improvements in this version:

• Ability to search projects by typing the client name
• New horizontal menu on the user interface
• Wider popup window & updated typography
• Fixed “My activity” page to respect the user timezone

As you may already know, Elorus has always been able to support the concept of withholding taxes / retention taxes (i.e. taxes that reduce an invoice’s payable amount, rather than the actual total amount). With this release, we’ve updated our tax calculation system to cater for the following scenarios:

Fixed amount withholding taxes

You may now define withholding taxes that always subtract a fixed amount from the invoice, regardless the invoice net.

Apply withholding taxes on the invoice lines

Withholding taxes are typically calculated as a percentage over the invoice’s total net amount. As a result, Elorus will apply the tax directly on the invoice (see image below).

However, in some cases the retention should be selectively applied on a subtotal. To facilitate this, we’ve added a new setting in the tax configuration page. When activated, the new setting will enable the tax to be applied on the invoice lines rather than the invoice total.

Taxes being used for information purposes

We’ve added support for a special form of withholding taxes, being used only for information purposes. For example, if a withholding tax is already included in the price, you may use this feature to denote that the tax should not affect the amount payable. Taxes being used for information purposes appear on a special table on the invoice and are also included in your tax reports.

Most time tracking applications interpret tasks as action items performed in the context of a specific project. When designing the time tracking features of Elorus, we decided to implement tasks as a global, cross-project entity. For example, an IT project house may want to track the time they spent on project management, development or quality assurance. Using global tasks, they can actually measure the development costs, identify bottlenecks and make pricing decisions, based on consolidated data across all projects.

This workflow is really cool, however it doesn’t necessarily apply to all teams across all industries. In some cases, people may need to log the time they spend on once-off tasks, or split projects into non-reusable, project-specific tasks. Although this is still possible with global tasks, eventually you will end up with a huge flat task list, that is a hard to manage and maintain.

Project tasks

Today, we introduce project tasks in Elorus. Project tasks are managed via the edit page of the corresponding project, and may only be associated with time entries related to that project. If you bill clients based on the nature of the task, you will be happy to know that project tasks may also have their own hourly rates. Please note that project tasks play nicely together with global tasks; you’re not forced into using global or project tasks exclusively, you may freely mix & match them based on your needs.

The developer API v1.1 has been updated to include information regarding the myDATA submission status. Namely, mydata_submission_status informs you whether the invoice has been submitted to myDATA or not, mydata_uid displays the invoice’s unique identifier and mydata_latest_mark returns the latest MARK number (submission ID). All fields are included in the response body of the invoice, credit note & payments received endpoints. This update only applies to the greek version of the application.

The latest developer API update adds support for recurring invoices. You may now use the API to retrieve, create and modify recurring invoices programmatically. Please refer to the API v1.1 documentation for details on how to use this feature.

The product / service view page now features a detailed report on all transactions associated with the product. The report will show the corresponding amounts and stock changes of each transaction and will calculate period summaries. As always, you may filter the reporting period, add or remove columns and export the report to PDF or Excel files.

This report replaces the old “transaction history” section of the product’s view page. Once a product’s “stock management” option is enabled, navigate towards the bottom of the product page to see the report.

Today we introduce the “account portal”, a dedicated administration portal where you can manage your user profile, as well as your organizations.

Delete an organization

The account portal lets you delete organizations that you no longer need. Deleting an organization will effectively remove all associated data, so make sure you really know what you’re doing before using this feature.

Once an organization deletion is requested, the data will remain available on our servers for 30 days. During this period you may cancel the operation without data loss. Once the 30-day period expires, the organization will be permanently deleted, and you will not be able to recover any data.

Default organization

If you manage multiple organizations, you may set the one to visit by default when logging into your Elorus account.

The account portal is accessible via the application’s top menu and is available under the URL “https://app.elorus.com/user/organizations/".

The products / services report is the latest addition to the list of reports that have been migrated to our new reporting engine. This is a performance-oriented upgrade, aiming to facilitate organizations with thousands of products and a heavy transaction history.

The European Union “One-Stop Shop” is a dedicated portal that european businesses can use to comply with their VAT obligations on e-commerce sales within the EU. Elorus now supports a new form of Value-Added Tax, the “OSS VAT”, that can be used to denote VAT charges originating from cross-border, intra-EU sales. OSS VAT amounts will be handled appropriately both when submitting invoices to myDATA, and when creating electronic invoices that will be signed by our certified eInvoicing partner. This feature applies only to the greek version of the application.

If you’ve ever used the time tracking feature before, you know how easy it is to fill up your task list with one-off activities and tasks that you no longer use. On one hand, keeping your complete time tracking history in the system is crucial, but on the other hand, locating the appropriate task might become cumbersome.

To solve this problem we’ve added the ability to archive tasks. Archiving a task will effectively “deactivate” it. It will remain in the system, however it won’t be available for selection when creating new time entries or adding new records to your timesheets.

To archive tasks, visit the task list page (Left menu -> More -> Tasks), select the tasks you wish and then from the “actions” menu, choose “Archive selected tasks”.

Elorus has partnered with Impact to offer an all-inclusive solution that complies to the Greek eInvoicing legislation. Impact’s certified EINVOICING service allows you to:

• Issue retail receipts directly via Elorus, without using any external signing hardware.
• Send signed digital invoices via email to your customers (eInvoicing).
• Automatically submit invoices to the myDATA platform.

The integration is now publicly available, however to use the service you must be subscribed to a paid Elorus plan. Please note that the Elorus subscription does not include the Impact EINVOICING service fees, that are being calculated on a per-invoice basis.

Starting in September 2025, Elorus provides native integration with the electronic invoicing provider service Elorus Fuse.

Elorus Fuse has received software suitability licensing for Electronic Document Issuance Provider Services (Υ.ΠΑ.Η.Ε.Σ.) from the AADE and allows you to issue unlimited business documents and retail receipts for your business needs. The myDATA platform has been recently updated (the new version code is 1.0.3), and we have updated the Elorus integration to catch up with the latest changes. Most notably, we’ve added support for new taxes and VAT exemption categories. This feature applies only to Greek accounts having activated the myDATA integration.

Elorus now supports tracking non-invoice income, and you can read all about it here. If your company is based in Greece you can also submit your rental or contract income to myDATA. You just need to enter all myDATA related info while adding a new income into your account. Elorus will automatically submit your income to myDATA.

Most businesses collect their income by sending invoices. There are though cases that a business may be receiving money through sources that don’t require an invoice. Rental icome, advertising & affiliate income, sales without invoice are such examples. Starting today, you can easily track non-invoice income within Elorus, so you can get a complete picture of your business health.

To add Income into your Elorus account you must go to your Payments Received section. Thus, there is no need to track the payment of the income separately. While recoding all income details, you can also use the tracking categories functionality to also monitor the actual source of the income.

All income recorded will be included into your Payments received detail and Revenue / Expenses detail reports. If you add any sales taxes to your income, these will also be included in your Tax Report.

Elorus’s latest release now supports AADE myDATA fees. These fees are subject to VAT, and can be manually set up in your settings. For invoices that include myDATA fees, such as those for mobile bills, VAT and fee amounts are automatically calculated and seamlessly submitted to myDATA.

The event timeline will help you audit all the important events associated with a specific record in Elorus. Record changes, client payments, email messages etc. are all gathered in one place, so you can easily review the events and track down possible issues.

For each event you may see a short description, the exact time that the event occurred, as well as who performed the action. Typically, there will be a special link next to the description, so you can monitor all the event details. For example, the details section of an email message will display the sender, the recipients, the subject and message, along with the email delivery status.

In the events page, you may use the period filter to narrow down the results based on a specific date range. The event type filters will also help you quickly find what you’re looking for. Event types are color-coded, so they can be easily identified in the timeline.

Please note that, what was previously known as “History” has now been removed in favor of the new “Events” feature.

The integration with myDATA, the greek online bookkeeping platform, has been updated. Most notably, all invoices & credit notes will be automatically submitted to myDATA upon issue. That is, of course, only if the myDATA integration has been enabled. To control how you want Elorus to behave in case of a submission failure, there’s a new “Submission policy” setting.

Given a submission error, the “Strict policy” won’t let you issue the invoice at all. When updating an existing invoice, it will be saved as a draft, and any possible changes will not be applied. If the error occurs while creating a new invoice, the invoice will not be saved.

The “Loose policy” on the other hand, will always proceed with issuing the invoice. If the myDATA submission fails, Elorus will only show a warning; however, you must manually retry submitting to myDATA at your convenience.

Over the past few months we’ve been working on a new reporting engine, featuring all the powerful tools you already know & love, along with lots of performance improvements.

Both the “Sales detail” report, and the “Revenues / Expenses” report have been updated to use the new engine; more reports will follow soon. The new reports are much faster, the UI has been slightly improved and, as a user, you will now be able to navigate through the history of the reports you run via your browser’s “Back” & “Forward” buttons.

This update regards our integration with myDATA, the online accounting platform of the greek ministry of economics. This feature is available only to companies based in Greece.

If your business has multiple branches, you may now specify the branch code to be used when uploading invoices to myDATA. Leave this new field empty - or use “0” - to denote the business headquarters.

Team dashboard is a new way to monitor your team’s time & costs, all in one place. With a single glance, you will be able to answer all the following questions: How are my employees doing? How much do my projects cost? Which clients are using too many resources? Which task is under-performing? Visualizing these insights will help you get a better understanding of your team’s time and make the correct decisions to improve your business performance.

Since we all know devil is in the details, you can also breakdown your data per employee, client, project or task and create a two-dimensional analysis of your team’s time. For example, you can group data by employee and then by project (as depicted in the image below), to track which project takes up most of someone’s time, or even ensure employees work on the right projects. You can always customize this report based on your own criteria and then export to an Excel spreadsheet, or a PDF file.

We have updated the myDATA integration to catch up with the latest updates of the AADE platform. Thus, VAT info is now required when issuing an invoice. So even if VAT does not apply to an invoice line, you must associate the line with the zero VAT and specify the VAT exemption reason. This feature applies only to Greek accounts having activated the myDATA integration.

The recurring expenses functionality has been enhanced to support projects. You may now associate any recurring expense line with a project, so that the resulting expense is also linked to that project. This feature applies to recurring bills as well.

The supplier credit functionality has been updated to support projects. Upon receiving a credit note from your supplier, you may associate any line with a specific project. As a result, the corresponding project expenses will be reduced, and the changes will be reflected in all project-related reports.

We’re excited to announce that the new version of our Developer API has finally arrived. The API version 1.1 introduces support for expenses & projects and catches up with the latest Elorus features. Expenses may be fully managed via the API, whereas projects may currently only be retrieved. Most interfaces have been simplified, and the required fields have been greatly reduced to make your life easier when working with invoices, bills etc. A lot of smaller features have also been added. Most notably, cash receipts & cash payments may now be associated with multiple invoices and bills. Last but not least, customers based in Greece will be happy to know that support for the myDATA platform has also been added.

Following the release of the new version, the API version 1.0 is now under deprecation and will be shutdown on June 30, 2021. Although deprecation will happen in 6 months' time, you are advised to upgrade your existing applications as soon as possible, to leverage all new features of version 1.1.

Elorus now integrates with myDATA, the online accounting platform of the greek ministry of economics. So far, the estimates accepted by your clients could be turned into invoices with the click of a button. To modify the resulting invoice one had to locate the new record, visit the corresponding invoice page and then hit the “Edit” button.

From now on, whenever you turn your estimate to an invoice by clicking on the “Create invoice” button from the drop-down menu, the invoice edit page will come up. All the invoice data will be conveniently pre-filled based on the corresponding estimate. This new small extra step in the invoicing process ensures that you get a chance to modify the invoice before it’s actually saved.

From now on, when creating bills, you have the option to set them as “billable expenses” with a simple ✔ and choose a specific project to link them to. Additionally, the sum of these bills will be added to your expenses and be visible on the expenses tab. Subsequently, your bills will also be part of the expense-related reports of the respective projects.

This new feature gives you an even better understanding of the total cost of your projects. Get to see every employee cost, expense and bill, just by looking at your project view page.

We are introducing a change in the format of the address in invoices, credit notes and estimates. In the old format, you had one line where you could fill in the client address. Henceforth, the new address format will include separate fields where you can add the street address, postal code, state and country. So, in every newly issued document, you will find the updated way of writing address.

The new function will not affect previously issued invoices, credit notes and estimates. Only in the case that you need to change addresses in older drafts, then you will need to follow the new address format.

Effective immediately, you can set specific employee labor costs per user and find their sum on the respective project view page. This new feature, paired with the project expenses, seals the chapter of financial project management. No cost or expense will go unnoticed anymore.

In a nutshell, you can monitor your cash outflow (projects costs and expenses) as well as your cash inflow (invoiced/ uninvoiced amounts). So, if you work on balancing these two metrics, you will have in your hands the power to ensure your business viability, reduce project spending and increase your revenue.

In practice, you can easily edit the user costs for every project. You just have to modify the numbers on the “cost per hour” column in the project edit section. Then, the changes will appear on the project view page as well as the project detail report.

You can now attach files to any project so that your team is always up-to-date with the latest requirements & changes. The process of project attachment management is the same as with invoices or estimates. Quick reminder, you just click on the paperclip button to upload and manage the various files.

Additionally, you may choose to share project attachments with your clients via the client portal. To take advantage of this feature, you should have already invited the project’s client to the client portal and made the respective project available to view in the client portal by simply ✔ a box.

The solution to keeping your time tracking data cleaner and healthier comes in the form of our new timer-related notifications. From now on, you will get notified whenever a timer has been running for more than 8 hours straight. Then, a second notification will come when the 24-hour limit is reached, letting you know that the timer will be automatically stopped.

Remember that you may receive the Elorus notifications in-app, via email and/or Slack. Plus, you can always update your notification preferences via the user settings page.

Over the past few months, we have received various reports from users having accidentally created new time entries when working with the web application. To be fair, clicking on the top menu’s ▶ button by mistake may happen and this is precisely what we want to address with this update.

Starting today, a click on the ▶ button will not automatically start the timer. Instead, it will reveal the timer bar. From there, you can press the ▶ button or just type in the project/task you wish to work on. At once, the timer will start counting seconds.

Effective immediately, every time you add a user as a team member to a project, you can also adjust their hourly project rate. Only in the case that the project’s billing method is set to “Assignee hourly rate”. Our newly minted component makes a real difference when it comes down to flexibility. You could apply discounted rates for selected customer projects, or increase the hourly rates for projects with high internal costs. The flexibility of setting hourly rates per project also creates an unprecedented opportunity to have historical records of all the different rates. Thus, it offers valuable information on rate adjustments over time & per user.

Of course, the different user rates & amount of hours worked will be processed & automatically calculated as always. The result will be flawless invoices. The only thing you have to do is set the proper hourly rates for each of your employees per project & let Elorus handle the rest.

This is another one of your requests. Henceforth, you will be able to mark time entries as billed without the need to actually invoice them. You can mark time entries as billed via the “time list” page, or the new “search time” tool. It is also possible to perform this operation in bulk.

You have asked for this and of course, we delivered. So far, to find specific time entries you had to navigate to the corresponding day and assignee. Which means you should know this information a priori. The new “Search” tool with its search field on your time section will bring up the time entries you want within seconds. You may use the filters and period tabs to narrow down the results.

Once you locate a time entry, you may go ahead and edit the record right there. You may even select a bunch of time entries and use the actions menu to perform operations such as bulk delete.

We have updated our browser time tracking extension to catch up with the latest updates regarding project members & user permissions.

Elorus comes with powerful access management features, enabling business owners to take full control over user permissions within the software. Today, we’re excited to introduce a new access layer on top of the existing schemes: per-project access permissions! You may control who sees which projects, decide whether teammates are able to manage a specific project, or even let them monitor time tracked by other users on a per-project basis.

To unlock the full potential of these features and create custom workflows, an experienced Elorus user may leverage our custom role editor. However, to facilitate common scenarios we’ve made this easy to anyone, by adding a couple of new pre-installed roles: Employees and Project managers.

Employees have a single responsibility, that of their own time management. After they have been assigned to projects by their manager, they can track their work. Employees may only access projects they are a member of and are not allowed to manage or monitor a project’s finances.

Project managers are like employees, in the sense that they may only access specific projects. However, their permissions may be uplifted on a per-project basis, to take over management duties for that project. Thus, they will have access to all the project-related data in order to effectively manage the team, workload, and project logistics.

Employees and project managers are not allowed to access financial information like invoices, business expenses & cash flow data.

The simplest way to describe our new feature is that you can assign specific employees to projects. From now on, you can form working teams per project. Each member will be able to track the time they have spent working on tasks related to the projects they have been assigned to.

There are two types of project members: users and managers. Users are only able to track time, whereas managers can modify the project and monitor the project finances. It is the role assigned to each person within Elorus that dictates whether a user can or cannot act as a project manager.

Client statements allow you to create and send your clients a detailed summary of their activity with you. Most businesses send statements to customers who have outstanding balances, usually at the end of the month. Elorus now allows you to personalize the statement form to match your business needs, before printing it as PDF or send it to the client via email.

Tracking categories in Elorus allow you to report and drill down into detail of your finances. All tracking categories associated with expenses can now be applied as filters in expenses by category report. This way you can create custom reports and gain insights the suit your business needs.

Elorus allows you to create records (invoices, cash receipts, bills etc) that needs to be repeated for a specified period or time. Some of these recurring processes used to run forever, which resulted in creating unwanted records. To avoid this, you must now specify the end date for each of this process. Keep in mind that the maximum number of executions allowed for each process is 60.

Credit notes created directly from invoices related to projects are now auto-assigned to these projects. The project dashboard will provide you a more accurate view of your projects finances and help you track these credit notes, as depicted in the image below.

Merging helps you organize and keep track of your finances by consolidating transactions and removing duplicate contacts. Although this is a very useful feature it must be used carefully to avoid any data loss. Make sure you read our support article here before giving it a try.

Exporting summary data for your projects puts all the time entries within the parameters you set into an Excel or PDF file. Share the report with anyone to collaborate on your projects. For more details about the project summary report you can read our support article here.

Set up tracking categories to tag your contacts and see how different areas of your business are performing. Monitor your sales department, create your own cost breakdown analysis or even see geo-analytics for your contacts. For example, you can easily set up a new “Salesperson” tracking category by creating one option for each of your sales persons. Just assign the options to your contacts and Elorus will automatically let you monitor your sales per salesperson, as depicted in the image below.

Void invoices and credit notes may be now be printed out or exported to PDF. A special stamp is placed on the invoice, to depict it has been voided. You may use this feature to provide your clients with an updated invoice, and discharge their payment obligation.

A fixed tax is a tax that is measured against a fixed rate, rather than a percentage of the tax base. Fixed taxes are used in various countries and typically apply to luxury goods and services. Using Elorus, you can now create fixed taxes simply by specifying the tax amount.

A fixed tax may also be applied progressively, so that the final tax amount increases in proportion to purchased quantity. For example in Greece, a special form of tax should be applied to coffee consumption. The tax rate is 3€ per kg and therefore the total tax amount increases as the purchased quantity increases. Within Elorus, to create this kind of tax simply enable the “amount depends on quantity” option.

Elorus users may now print/export their invoices using the US letter paper format, or the international A4 paper size. The default paper size depends on your country of business residency (e.g. Letter in the US or Canada, A4 in Europe), but can be customized per your needs: Each invoice template can have its own paper size preference. Of course, the paper size setting is taken into consideration both when exporting an invoice PDF and when printing out an invoice.

If you’re creating new invoices out of accepted estimates, you may now display the related estimate on the invoice’s PDF. There’s a new template setting that enables / disables this new feature, found under the “Content” tab of the invoice template editor. Updating the setting will affect all invoices using that particular template. Of course, you may override the setting’s behavior on a per-invoice basis as well (e.g. hide the estimate on a particular invoice).

Keeping your data safe has always been our top priority. Not only is Elorus ISO 27001 certified, but we also strive to improve the application security every day. Today, we introduce an enhanced password strength policy, as well as a new lockout process to secure your account.

From now on, Elorus will only accept passwords that are considered “strong”, being at least 8 characters and containing a mix of capital, lower case letters and digits. Hence, Elorus will be locking your account when you fail to enter the password correctly. The lockout process will protect you from potential attackers attempting to guess your password. Of course, for your own convenience, this is a temporary lock out: You may try again after 20 minutes or even request a password reset to unlock and access your account immediately.

Last but not least, we’ve updated the application to terminate your session after 30 minutes of inactivity. If you’re on a private computer and wish to bypass this feature, you may use the “Stay signed in” option while logging in.

The Elorus developer API documentation has been completely revamped to help you build integrations faster and easier. To begin with, we’ve added extensive descriptions of the API endpoints, along with hints for the function of each and every field. We’ve also included the previously undocumented URL parameters that you can use to perform search queries and filter the API results.

As a bonus, the new portal includes detailed examples of both the data you may send and receive when working with the API. Last but not least, there’s a new user interface that is clean and very easy to follow.

Stripe is processing payments in 135+ currencies for businesses all around the world (see the supported countries). Starting today you can use Stripe within Elorus to accept credit card payments and get paid faster for your work.

With our all new Stripe integration you will be aligned with the latest EU regulations for online payments (SCA ready). When enabled, your clients can pay online your invoices created in Elorus, using their credit card details. Funds are settled by Stripe directly into your Stripe account. Then, you’ll instantly get notifications as your payments are received.

You can set up this integration by going to the Settings > Payment gateways page inside Elorus and follow the instructions to add Stripe as a payment provider. Do you not have a Stripe account yet? No need to worry! You can easily create a new one and connect it to Elorus in one step.

We have updated our browser time tracking extension to fix the Asana & Trello integrations.

While creating or editing invoices, you may create new products / services via the invoice page. Depending on your custom tracking categories, you may now tag the new product as well, so you don’t have to ever leave the current page.

Do you find it difficult to send reminders or email invoices to a specific client address? Do you need a way to set default contact info when invoicing a client? Henceforth, you can do it all. Just set a primary email address or phone number for each of your contacts and never worry again about reaching out to your clients.

From now on, you can select a contact address when setting invoice billing & shipping addresses. Just click on the bar or search on the fields to pull up all the available addresses.

We’ve added some new variables you can all use when sending invoices or automated reminders to your clients via email. Here are the new additions:

Client first name: This variable will be automatically substituted by your client’s first name.
Client last name: This variable will be automatically substituted by your client’s last name.
Client company name: This variable will be automatically substituted by your client’s company name.

The above variables come on top of the already existing “Client company or person name” variable. While the old variable uses the person’s name as fallback to a missing company name (so that something is always displayed in any case), the new variables will be empty if the information is missing from the corresponding contact. For example, if you want to use a more personal tone, you could use the “Client first name” variable without worrying that the company name might sneak into the message.

Client amount due: This variable will be automatically substituted by the client’s total amount due, as displayed on the client statement. Note how this differs from the “Client invoices due” variable, which will only show how much the client owes you for invoices (not considering credit notes or other payments that you may have received).

If you do not use the “recurring payments received” functionality, you may now disable the corresponding module from the application settings page. Of course, you can re-enable the feature anytime, if you change your time. The recurring payments received module will be disabled by default for new organization accounts.

The “Revenues / Expenses” report used to display an empty value instead of the actual expense tax amount. This has now been fixed.

Today we are excited to introduce the arrival of the much-requested timesheets in Elorus. This new feature will simplify the way you track working hours and make it super-easy for your teammates to record the time spent on each task.

You may think of timesheets as a two-dimensional array where time is the first dimension and tasks is the second. Given a calendar week, you can quickly log the time spent each day on a specific task. For your convenience, you may also specify the amount of time that is actually billable within the timesheet. Of course, other details like the project, and an optional description may also be provided.

As you might have guessed, behind the scenes, timesheets create and modify regular time entries. Therefore, time recorded via the timesheets can be monitored in project & time reports. It can also be invoiced and managed in the normal “time list” page. The new feature does not interfere with your team’s permissions scheme either: Team managers may review and edit the timesheets of other team members, while restricted users may only manage their own time.

Your project expenses can be billed directly to your clients from now on! While associating expenses with projects, you are presented with the option to mark the particular expense line as billable. Next time you invoice this project, you will be able to include the corresponding expenses in the invoice. You may also filter out expenses based on the expense date, as well as choose how specific expenses will appear on the invoice.

A long-awaited feature has finally arrived: Expenses may now be associated with projects to provide insight about your projects' profitability. When creating / editing expenses, you may correlate the expense lines with a project. Since an expense may be comprised of several lines, it’s also possible to associate the expense with multiple projects.

Project expenses may also be monitored via the project page. The project indices section provides a quick overview of the expenses, while a detailed expense list is available towards the bottom of the page. As you might expect, the project reports have also been updated to account for this new functionality.

The project page has been updated to include a new summary report. You may break down the project hours per task or assignee and monitor the corresponding time and revenues.

The report offers a secondary dimension as well: Let’s say you have chosen to view the hours per assignee and then per task. Each row in the results will represent the total time that a single user has spent on the project. You can also click on a row to reveal the time that this specific user has spent on each task.

If you want to monitor the exact time entries that each row summarizes, you can always follow the link of the corresponding “total time” column. Using the previous example, click on the link and you will be transferred to the time entry detail reports, with the “project”, “assignee” and time period filters conveniently pre-filled, so you can view each time entry the assignee has recorded.

Needless to say that, as always, you may customize the reporting period as well as the report columns.

The “time list” view page has been updated in order to integrate with the all-new timesheet workflow and provide you all with a better user experience.

As you may already know, the “time list” page is the main place where you can overview and manage time in Elorus. It provides the means to create and edit time entries. It can also be the primary tool that monitors your team’s activity on a daily basis.

Starting from today, this view will always reflect the recorded time within a specific calendar week by a specific user (assignee). This allows you to seamlessly switch between the “time list”, and the all-new “timesheet” views: The former will always show your daily time entries in detail, while the latter will provide a weekly overview.

The “time list” view comes with an improved time navigator to help you locate and monitor your entries weekly or daily with just a couple of clicks.

We’ve also made a couple of adjustments to help you work faster: Time entry editing is now performed on the time list page directly and is easier than ever. We’ve also added shortcuts to quickly log time for any day within the active calendar week. Even deleting time entries requires now one less click :)

The time tracking functionality has been updated to provide a more consistent and easy to follow workflow.

The new workflow is built around the concepts of the project and the task. Therefore, both fields are now required when creating new time entries. The live time tracker is the only exception to this rule: You may still start the timer immediately, without providing extra information. Any extra details related to the time entries, you can add them whenever it’s convenient for you.

Furthermore, time entries are now rounded to the closest minute. Tracking time down to the level of seconds has proven to be a tedious process that adds little value when compared to the hundreds or thousands of hours a small team tracks on a weekly basis. On the other hand, you most probably don’t want to present your clients with a timesheet that charges seconds; the same goes for when you invoice your time.

Finally, the exact time that a time entry is taking place is now out of your way. With that being said, you may still specify the time entry’s exact start and end time if you want to. However, since this information is not included in the reports (not at the present time at least), it is now less prominent on the Elorus user interface.

All time charts across the application (including the “tracked hours” dashboard widget) have now been updated to depict the distribution of total time to billable & non-billable time.

A new utility dropdown menu is now available within the “view page” of each contact. Its purpose of existence is to help you create records associated with a specific contact. Depending on your permissions, you will be able to work on a variety of documents from invoices, estimates to credit notes and payments; the same goes for bills and payments for your suppliers. You can even start new projects from the contact page of your clients.

Do you keep on submitting the same or similar kind of expenses? From now on, you can duplicate them and save time. This way, there is no need to recreate your expense records!

Just find the ones you want to replicate from the list and select the copy action. You can always modify the details of the newly cloned records before saving them.

We are proud to present our most anticipated feature until now. Expense management is a valuable asset to your business. You get to document and gain full control of all your expenses. Regarding the process of submitting your expenses, you only need to fill in a date, an expense category and the actual amount. No need for suppliers or due dates.

Since organization is the key to success, we’ve created the new expense categories. Expenses like your employees' salaries, utilities, office equipment, supplies, and even your rent can be put under categories that apply to your business needs. We have made a preset of expense categories, but you can always come up with your own. On top of everything, your expense categories are represented in a pie chart to also have a visual overview.

To sum up, expense management gives you practical knowledge on how to deal with your expenses and offers you insight as to your business’s present state and future plans.

Our updated browser extension has arrived. We caught up with the latest changes in Trello and Jira so that you never miss a thing. On top of this, we have incorporated the newly-minted archival options in our extension. So now you no longer have to see your archived projects on your dropdown list.

We know you don’t want to overcrowd your Elorus account. As of today, you can broaden your existing library of historical data. You can archive finished projects, outdated estimates, and unused templates without deleting them. This way, you can keep your Elorus squeaky clean. The only things you cannot archive are the default templates, including the client default ones.

Remember that you can always retrieve anything you want from your archive and reactivate it at any time.

You can email invoices or estimates to your clients. You can also add emails addresses that will receive a carbon-copy. But you already know all these. Our update gives you the option to send the emails you want to one or more addresses by default. Visit the application setting menu and add the ones you prefer. You will enjoy this new feature especially if you have a steady circle of usual suspects. Steady clients, partners and of course your accountant.

If you work with cheques and want to track their progress, then our new module is dedicated to you. Just visit the Application Settings in your Settings. Near the end of the page, you’ll see the module of the cheques. Tick the box on the right side of the screen and you’re set. Remember, you can always untick if cheques are not your thing anymore!

Elorus brings to you an updated layout. Faster and easier access to all our major features at the top level of the screen. We also readjusted our application’s design to fit more elements. Check out our app on a tablet or low res computers, the menu will adapt and save you more space to work.

You can also find application action buttons such as “Add invoice” and “Edit invoice” on the top-right. This way, we saved you some vertical space!

Last but not least, be sure to pay attention to our brand-new icon set. Minimal and cool, right?

Over the past few months we’ve been working on a massive update to the expense / purchase management workflow in Elorus. Today, we’re excited to introduce the first of a series of updates towards that end. The primary goal of today’s release is to speed up the process of tracking your purchase invoices.

A whole new experience

Let’s say you receive a supplier invoice and want to record the transaction in Elorus. What do you do?

1. Open the invoice PDF or image using an external software.
2. Switch to Elorus and enter the amounts you see on the PDF to the purchase form.
3. Save the purchase invoice.
4. Visit the purchase invoice’s detail page and upload the PDF as attachment for future reference.

Although the above will work, it’s a kind of slow and complicated process that we felt can be improved. We thought, why not upload the attached file and enter the invoice data at the same time? And that’s what we did! We have completely redesigned the purchase invoice pages, so you can preview the document in Elorus, enter the data without ever leaving the application environment and save the record in one go.

Bills & supplier credits

As part of the update, purchase invoices have been renamed to just “bills”. Similarly, purchase credit notes are now called “supplier credits”. We feel these new terms are easier to follow and capture the essence of both features much better. In real world, any kind of purchase that has to be paid, is referred to as “bill”. Elorus features a complete, separate process to manage bill payments and monitor outstanding or overdue bills, which makes all the pieces come together.

Less typing

Finally, we’ve reduced the fields needed to record a bill. The document type, related documents and line item title fields have all been removed, since they were only used for display purposes. That said, if you are among those who used multiple document types for reporting purposes, please rest assured: We have created a custom tracking category called “document type” in your account. We then migrated all your existing data to the new category, so you may continue doing your thing!

Historically, in order to monitor sales by client in Elorus you should run the invoices report, group results by client and watch for the calculated sub-totals. Although this process works as expected, it can get tedious and hard to follow at times, especially when the results span across multiple pages.

Starting today, there’s a better way to achieve this: The all-new sales by client & purchases by supplier reports. The sales by client report summarizes sales transactions (invoices & credit notes) and calculates total amounts per client. Purchases by supplier is a similar report that accounts for bills and supplier credits. Both reports come with a set of filtering options and will most certainly help you get the job done quickly!

The invoices detail report & credit note detail report have also been merged to a single sales detail report. Each row represents either an invoice or credit note, with credit notes having a negative effect on the results. The same goes for the old purchase invoices & purchase credit notes detail reports, which have been merged to a single report. Once again, we expect this change to speed up your workflow, since you can access accumulated results easier than ever.

We value your data and we thought of simplifying the way you back up and export your data lists. To make things easier, we have a specific page dedicated to exporting your data as CSV files. To find your way around here, there are simple steps to find the new back-up page. From the left menu, you choose
“Settings -> Application settings -> Backup”.

Remember that the old export links are not there anymore. So, feel free to save your data as you please through our new page.

Archiving records is a great way to shorten your lists without deleting historic data in Elorus. Starting today, you may archive contacts that you no longer deal with, be it clients or suppliers. The great news is that archived contacts do not count towards the subscription’s client limit, which means you can raise your current limits just by archiving old clients!

However, a few extra restrictions apply:

1. Archived contacts cannot be invoiced.
2. Archived contacts cannot be assigned to new projects.
3. Archived contacts are not visible in various reports.
4. Archived contacts cannot log in the client portal.

Remember that archived contacts can be reactivated at any time.

“Due dates” have never been more interesting or useful. Our new update helps you set more parameters around the time limits you set for the invoices to your clients or suppliers. For example, you can specify the waiting period before your client has to pay the invoice. Explore the possibilities of the “due date” and make the best out of it.

To facilitate complex scenarios, Elorus can now handle up to 6 decimal places on taxes. This is especially useful to represent compound or chained taxes (i.e. a tax calculated on top of another tax).

For example, when invoicing a public body in Greece, a 0.06% tax must be applied. The stamp duty is calculated as 3% over the tax amount (0.06 * 0.03 = 0.0018%). Finally, there is a 20% withholding tax over the stamp duty. Therefore, the withholding tax rate is 0.0018 * 0.2 = 0.00036% over the invoice’s net total. To support such rates, taxes can now accept up to 6 decimal places.

We take your professional style very seriously. So it’s time to launch our new set of functions. We are extremely proud to present our fonts and font customizations. This update enriches our previously limited selection of fonts. From now on, you may choose the font family and size you prefer to create your invoice. Serif, sans serif and monospace fonts, are all set waiting for you to pick them.

We paid extra attention to your recurring invoices to simplify your line of work. Now, you can automatically email them to your clients. You can activate this feature by selecting the “mark created invoices as issued”. We’ll generate your email subject and message according to your default email settings. Of course, you can always check up on the delivery status through the invoice’s detail page. You’re welcome!
